It does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned".**Responsibilities**- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department- Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements- Establishing_ _and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principle- Plan, implement and supervise the company's financial strategy- Manage the company's financial accounts, payrolls, forecast, budget, cash receipts and fixed assets- Accountable for closing end books, oversee AP and AR activities- Handle the company's transactions and debts and do cash flow forecasting- Perform the company's financial audits- Follow proper accounting procedures to reach financial objectives- Monitor and analyze financial accounting data- Create financial reports based on data analysis- Identity, research, resolve and communicate accounting, auditing and operational issues- Maintains relationships with external auditors to complete audits of year-end financial statements- Oversees routine daily operations of Accounting department- Maintains banking relationships- Timely and accurate preparations of special projects and research.- Supervise accounting staff- Promotes teamwork & cooperation.- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.**Requirements**:- Must have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields- Five (5) years previous general ledger accounting and financial reporting experience is required, preferably in the property management industry- Supervisory experience is preferred- Must have knowledge and proficiency of Finance, Accounting, Budgeting, and Cost Control Principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles- Experience working with Auditors is critical- Proficient to advanced knowledge of Cost average- Minimum 2 years accounting experience Inventories- Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level- Ability to analyze financial data- Ability to quickly learn industry-related regulations quickly and utilize information in written reports- Strong critical thinking skills- Excellent organizing skills- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness; - Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices- SAP experience a plus- English and Spanish are required**Work Schedule**- Standard work hours will consist of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week on an assigned shift.
