**PURPOSE**:Our Senior Accountant will be responsible in maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of the company's reports and statements.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Reconcile bank accounts monthly.- Reconcile general ledger accounts and analyze for discrepancies.- Record and reconcile credit card accounts.- Maintain bank note schedules and reconciliations.- Make AR deposits and record them in QuickBooks.- Receive, Record, and File all Invoices and make entries into QuickBooks- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.- Account reconciliation reviews and resolution of aging items.- Overseeing 3rd party claims and hull claims with insurance companies- Perform quarterly Balance Sheet and P&L fluctuation analysis.- Review and analyze financial data from various revenue sources.- Work with a variety of banking institutions to open accounts, order checks and setup online access- Maintain a level of trust and accountability with all staff.**Job Costing**- Setup new jobs and ensure estimates are set up in QuickBooks.- Prepare Pre-lien filing for construction projects.- Prepare supplier lien waivers and track to ensure timely receipt.- Fixed asset accounting- Asset requisitions (ARs)**Annual Closing**- Preparation of annual financial plans and rolling forecasts- Preparation of financial statements and reporting to all statutory entities- Prepare/gather materials related to construction and cost accounting matters for external auditors.- Provide assistance to the external auditors as needed.**REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:- Strong mathematical and analytical skills- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously- Excellent oral and written communication skills- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline or equivalent mix of experience and education- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting- Experience in Construction preferred.- Experience in QuickBooks preferred- Language: English (required)- 8 hour shift- Monday to Friday**Education**:- Bachelor's**Experience**:- Accountant: 5 years (required)- Management: 1 year (required)- job costing: 1 year (preferred)**Salary**:- $600.00 - $700.00 USD weekly- Annual Review with potential Compensation Bonus- Sick Time/Paid Time off**Salary**: $11,300.00 - $13,100.00 per weekApplication Question(s):- Will you be able to reliably commute or relocate to El Paso, TX 79936 for this job?Work Location: One location
