Reporting to the West Coast Controller, Laboratory Products Unit, this finance leader will be expected to develop into a strong business partner for the Operations Management Team.
Provide guidance to the West Coast Controller on finance/accounting strategy Regulatory, Fixed Asset, Payroll audits, and capital expenditures.
The Accounting Manager will directly manage the accounting team in Tijuana, Mexico.
Finance strategy: Ability to operate at both the strategic level and the lowest level of detail across the whole organization.
It demands a 360-degree view: backward to report, alert to current conditions, and the ability to anticipate the future to plan accordingly.

**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
Manage and coordinate external Tax Audits.
Liaison between the company, government, and outside auditors.
- Responsible for all core accounting and finance disciplines.
Ensures compliance with local MX GAAP, US GAAP, and corporate policies.
Full P&L, Balance Sheet, and working capital.
Oversight of accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll audits, and general ledger day-to-day activity.
- Performs monthly financial statement closing; prepares and maintains supporting balance sheet and income statement schedule.
- Supervises A/P, Treasury Founding, and Payroll processes.
- Provides leadership to and manages the efforts of the Accounting personnel to ensure appropriate support of all functions.
Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
Provide leadership, coaching, hands-on guidance, and career development.
Sets goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
- Oversee management of day-to-day information systems operations including identification and implementation of systems that will support strategic initiatives and drive compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Reviews employee expense reports and processes ACH payments.
Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
- Supports budgeting, forecasting, and strategic/financial planning activity for the business unit.
Supports Site Controller to set annual financial/operating goals for each function and monitor the progress throughout the year.
- Establish relationships with senior management level individuals across the business unit and define practices and strategies to add value and maintain cost-effectiveness.
- Ensures the accurate compilation, timely reporting, and analysis of financial data.
Continuously improve closing, planning, forecasting, and other financial/accounting processes (i.e.
Payroll, A/P, & Fixed Assets).
- Safeguard company assets and champion/promote an effective and efficient internal control environment.
Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance.
- HFM system maintenance, Upload, and analysis.
- Blackline Recons review and approve.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
- Extensive knowledge of MX Regulatory and Accounting Guidelines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
