Accounting Manager For Us Clients

**Role**:
The position is a key member of the **North American Accounting team located in Querétaro, Mexico**, responsible for our American clients' accounting operations. As Accounting Manager, your role is to oversee and lead the accounting department managing the day-to-day accounting operations of our American Clients, including consolidating, ensuring the accuracy of the management and **reporting our American Clients accounting information** on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis (both, US GAAP and Management Reporting). In addition, GAC is responsible for establishing and communicating various accounting policies and procedures in United States.

The position is a highly impactful and visible leadership role within the North American finance organization and requires a high level of STAT/IFRS & US GAAP implications and an excellent English level.

**Key areas of responsibility are**:

- Managing and overseeing the process of preparing, analyzing, reviewing, and ensuring the timing and accuracy of our American clients' financial statement reporting including the consolidated US GAAP financial statements as well as monthly management reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Reviewing, reporting, and communicating key performance metrics, complex/judgmental matters and business drivers to our clients' senior leadership.
- Reviewing statutory financial statements and ensuring appropriate reconciliation to US GAAP, working with Local/Regional Controllers and Heads of Finance.
- Interpreting unique events or transactions and assessing the related accounting and technical STAT/IFRS & US GAAP implications.
- Reviewing and assisting in preparing executive level deliverables
- Preparation and review of the global reconciliation of management reporting to US GAAP
- Overseeing, reviewing, and reporting on the accounting for pension plans, I/C legal entity mergers, dividend distributions and others.
- Create, document, implement, and ensure compliance with internal and external accounting policies and procedures.
- Managing a team of accountants, provide guidance, set performance goals and conduct performance evaluations. Creating a positive and productive work environment and fostering a culture of continuous improvement is essential to ensure the success of the accounting department.

**Experience & Qualifications**
- 10+ years of accounting-related work experience, including US GAAP accounting, management, and financial reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent required
- CPA is required, MBA is a plus
- Previous experience working in a major public accounting firm for a minimum of 3+ years
- 6+ years of management experience at an accounting consulting firm with American clients leading and developing team members
- Good management judgment, flexibility, and ability to manage multiple priorities; experience managing an international team and communication with C-level clients.
- Experience with the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS required.
- Ability to make complex judgements while working within the guardrails of technical-GAAP and IFRS/Statutory accounting rules is critical.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable interacting with peer group, senior leadership and third-party service providers
- Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple changing priorities along with day-to-day responsibilities
- Strong work ethics, professional attitude, and reliability
- Experience using Quickbooks and SAP based accounting systems preferred.

**Salary**: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per month
