Accounting Manager, Private Equity Real Estate

**About our client**

Our client is an investment management company focused on lodging real estate investments in Mexico with properties in the broader Caribbean region. The company is sponsored by a private equity manager committed to building best-in-class real estate platforms in Mexico of industrial, retail, residential, hotel, and multifamily properties. The position is based in Mexico City.

**What the job involves**
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements analyses and reports.
- Manage the monthly financial report consolidation process
- Assist with the preparation and monitoring budgets, forecasts and projections
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Assist with annual audit preparations
- Take ownership in the investigation and resolution of audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
- Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
- Review accounting records of subsidiaries and affiliates
- Maintain accurate controls of asset depreciation, construction in progress and Capex projects of properties under management.

**Who we are looking for**
- Solid experience in accounting/audit, and/or real estate/hospitality private equity or hotel management company.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations and GAAP.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related.
- English full professional proficiency.
- Strong analytical, management and number skills.
- Willingness to travel 20-40% of the time.
