The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks, ensuring that financial records are accurate and in compliance with established standards. The role involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling accounts, while working closely with other departments to provide financial information and support.
Key Responsibilities:Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.Prepare and process journal entries, including accruals and adjustments.Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.Prepare financial reports and present them to management as needed.Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely payment and collection.Assist with the preparation of tax filings and compliance with local regulations.Assist with audits by preparing documentation and supporting materials.Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial insights.Support budgeting and forecasting activities.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Proven experience as an Accounting Specialist or in a similar accounting role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office, especially Excel.High attention to detail and accuracy.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.Preferred Qualifications:CPA certification or working towards certification.Experience with ERP systems.Knowledge of tax laws and compliance requirements.Experience in financial reporting and auditing.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
