BorgWarner Aftermarket is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as an Accounting Supervisor
In this role, and under direct supervision of the department Finance the Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for The accounting supervisor will be responsible for monitoring the correct recording of the company's financial operations, compliance with local and corporate policies, testing existing financial controls, as well as proposing modifications if deemed necessary.
Additionally, the necessary investigations and tests were carried out to identify and resolve risks.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Review the calculation of revenue recognition
- Review the green sheet charges made by corporate
- Load the headcount in the HFM of the American entity
- Upload the financial information to the HFM system of the American entity
- Load the information of fixed assets of the American entity
- Report the age of customer balances in HFM
- Review the calculation of sales commissions for Central America and Canada.
- Carry out random audits of the main processes in order to ensure that they follow the guidelines established by the policies:Sales MasterCustomer MasterPrice changeAccount changesApproval of manual entriesInventory MasterApproval of cycle count adjustmentsTesting in BOLsEvidence of billing closingApproval of deliveries free of chargeReview of travel expenses
- Review the reconciliations of balance accounts and ensure that the requirements established in the company's policy are met.
- Create and update internal audit plan
- Quarterly review of narratives
- Attention and monitoring of audits
- Support in the review of flowcharts, work instructions, formats and procedures of the different areas.
- Review the calculation of the Maquila invoice at the end of the month.
- Authorize and ensure the correct posting of journal policies.
- Open and close the accounting periods in SAP at the end of the month.
- Ensure the correct calculation of payroll provisions.
- Develop and train staff under your supervision
Actively participate in the annual physical inventory
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Time of experience in a similar position: More than 5 years of experience in accounting and internal control, experience reporting in SAP and HFM, proven experience as a financial analyst or internal auditor.
General accountant, or accounting supervisor.
Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and USGAAP
- Required technical knowledge: Accounting principles and internal auditing, project management.
- Other requirements: Microsoft Office, Strong understanding Sarbanes Oxley.
