Job TitleAccounting Supervisor SrPosition PurposeAdministers and put in practice accounting policies and procedures regarding Merchandising. Responsible for the analysis and interpretation of statistical, operational and accounting information to appraise the operating results in terms of cost, budgets, policies, trends and increased profit possibilities. Performs other duties as assigned.Primary Accountabilities- "Administer and control financial activities generated by Merchandising operations. Ensures that processes and registers comply with MEXGAAP/USGAAP accounting and internal audit policies. Provide financial and accounting advice on potential new operating process to ensure financial viability, adequate recording, tracking and visibility."- Develop Merchandising annual and quarterly operating plans/LEs/targets.- Verify compliance and proper alignment of the related areas to operating plan Strategies and tacics, including timely communication of deviations.- Perform period close accounting review, accounting reconciliations and Merchandising P&L and Balance accounts oversight.- Perform regular and ad-hoc financial analysis of operating details, interpreting and reporting results to VP's and Directors of each area as well as evaluate and analyze projects proposed by functional areas.- Ensure all the process are in compliance with US corporate as well as SOX and internal compliance.- Prepare and analyze information for internal and external audit purpose.Education & ExperienceLevel of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.Area of Study: Finance and AccountingYears of Experience: Three to five years.Type of Experience: General accounting (Preference related to Supply Chain activities)Special Certifications or Technical Skills: CPA, Mexico GAAP experience, Bilingual (Spanish and English)Other/Preferred: Intermediate computer skills, advanced knowledge in Excel
