The Accounts Payable Staff Accountant must have working knowledge and experience with accounts payable and vendor management. He/she must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as, basic clerical skills. He/she must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions, therefore, exceptional organizational skills are preferred. The position requires a pleasant nature with a strong emphasis on customer service.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Accounts Payable and Vendor ManagementReceive and process requests to set up new vendorsEnsure requests to add new vendors are complete and within Company policyReconcile accounts payable to monthly vendor statementsEnter and post accounts payable batches, verify all coding per chart of accountsProcess weekly accounts payable checks2. Monitor vendor due dates to ensure on-time paymentsMaintain checklist of utility providers and due datesMaintain checklist of monthly contract service providers and due datesMonitor resident move-ins in connection with referral servicesMonitor general expenses of community and elevate issues and/or concerns to Senior Accountant and/or Controller Work with Controller to assist with monthly invoice accruals3. Serve as a point of contact for vendors4. Maintain files, documents, and audit support for year-end audits5.
