Accounts Payable Supervisor

Job Summary:Responsible for the recording and payment of all accounts payable invoices and expense reports. Responsible for the overall integrity of the account payable system and all vendor files.Essential Job Functions:Monitor all daily reports.Review and approve all A/P journal entries and all invoices for payment.Coordinate cash flow with corporate treasurer.Control and collect all temporary and standing advances.Delegate responsibilities and monitor work flow within department.Coordinate all system changes and implementations with Data Processing.Reconcile various general ledger accounts as assigned.Learn all job responsibilities within department and continually monitor for efficiency and accuracy.Specialized Knowledge/Skills:Detail oriented, but manages to objectives.Well organized and task oriented.Able to handle pressure and meet deadlines.Able to work well with superiors, peers and subordinates.Good communication skills – verbal and narrative.Self-confident, self-starter, patient, problem-solver and able to command respect and trust.Education/Experience:College degree preferred with major in Accounting, will consider equivalent experience.Minimum 2-3 years accounting experience.Background in automated accounts payable systems.Thorough understanding of accounting theory.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:May supervise.Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Balfour is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
