**MECHANICAL SPECIALIST**
The Automation Mechanical Specialist is primarily responsible for the mechanic assembly, pneumatic assembly, fine tuning, rework, labeling, leveling and other mechanic or pneumatic activities related to the machine fabrication, as well supporting activities during machinery startup, as well for jigs, fixtures or any device. Other responsibilities include the project tasks and timeline follow up to ensure the machine readiness on time, the project management, team collaboration, overseeing the building process, trouble shooting, debugging as needed.
The Automation Mechanical Specialist will need to work professionally with our engineers and technicians, as well, as with our customers and vendors, to engineer and build custom equipment. This role will require working with customers specifications, drawings, and other information to create the custom automation.
**REPORTS TO**:Reports directly to the operations manager.
**JOB POSITION CAPABLE TO REPLACE**: Standardization Engineer, Project engineer, Quality Control Inspection, Mechanical Specialist.
**PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Primary tasks and responsibilities are as follows; however, this is not to be considered all-inclusive:
1. Is capable to track and comply all activities for the mechanical machine fabrication within the defined timeline.
2. Administrate processes, spare parts, and milling parts according to the assembly drawings and milling parts drawings, as well, is capable to handle rework operations.
3. Capacity to read and understand assembly drawings, single parts drawings, and pneumatic diagrams for machinery fabrication.
4. To participate in the project meetings giving dynamic feedback to the engineering team to improve the assembly/fabrication processes of machines, as well, present cost reductions initiatives.
5. Understand technical specification and norms associated with machines fabrication, specifically automation lines.
6. Practical knowledge of mechanic, pneumatic and electric elements according to the technical characteristics.
7. To administrate and conserve in optimal conditions the manual tools, electric/pneumatic tools, tool shop milling machines, working desks and all equipment provided to perform the activities related to cover the position.
8. Keep close communication with the customer and the internal team.
9. To identify and update assembly drawings and milling pats drawings if improvements are done during the machine assembly.
10. Full support during the equipment assembly, validation, commissioning's, trouble shooting, fine tuning and deliveries.
**SPECIFIC TECHNICAL & LANGUAGE COMPETENCES**
1. Knowledge in conventional milling machines for rework purposes.
2. Capacity to read pneumatic, assembly and milling parts drawings.
3. GD&T.
4. Problem solving and escalation initiative.
5. Spares parts and milling parts administration.
6. Microsoft Office/365 environment.
7. Machines safety.
8. English Cambridge Level A2 or B1.
