Ford Motor Company is growing our manufacturing expertise in Interior Seats and Restraints. Our supplier business partners, are a very important part of this growth. The Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) organization supports our Global suppliers with Manufacturing Technical expertise as they invest and grow their business to support ours. Ford Motor Company is looking for an experienced Body Interior manufacturing professional to join our Global Core Interiors team. This team is composed of Technical Experts, Managers, and Manufacturing Engineers who assist the suppliers as they grow with Ford Motor Company.
Job requirements
- Five years minimum experience
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering or academic equivalent, MBA/MS preferred - Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical
- Ability to speak and write in the English language fluently to effectively communicate with global teams
- Advanced knowledge of Seats, Seat Structures, Restraints, Seatbelts, Airbags, Manufacturing, Welding, and Assembly process(es)
- Experience in process planning, implementation, and launch in Seats and Restraints manufacturing systems
- Performing manufacturing feasibility assessments
- Operational experience in Seats and Restraints manufacturing processes and process control, and quality systems.
- Experience in project management and/or program launch.
- Develop STA point of view with Technical Experts and affected regions on manufacturing feasibility risk assessment and manufacturing readiness of new technologies.
- Develop manufacturing feasibility plans for new parents, new technology, and high-risk commodities.
- Provide support to Site STA engaging supplier's Global Management team to address systemic quality, capacity, and manufacturing issues.
- Lead the development and maintenance of Seats and Restraints manufacturing standards
- Drive robust sourcing risk assessments on Seats and Restraints suppliers
- Collaborate with your peers in Product Development and STA
- Develop global lessons learned and prevent recurrence.
