We boldly go.**Job Summary:****Responsibilities**:- Improve current machining and precision machining processes and identify, develop, and deploy future processes utilizing industry leading, cutting-edge technology necessary to meet company and customer expectations.- Evaluate the current process, equipment and skills and implement higher level of standardization, process control, quality control, and safety- Increase capability, competency, and capacity in precision machining- Execute tactical experiments to validate technology and solutions for precision manufacturing process- Create standards for material optimized machine cycle parameters, cutting tools, environmental controls, machining fluids, equipment & controls, and part fixturing to enable achievement of product tolerances- Drive new technology development such as grind models, active geometry error reduction, thermal management, vibration damping, near net shape manufacturing- Coach, mentor, and develop talent**Qualifications**:- Deep knowledge of precision machining, precision metrology and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing- Knowledge of digital connectivity / IIoT, and sensor technology- Collaboration with others to foster effective teamwork by linking own responsibilities to the team's goals and needs - zeal for new information, knowledge, and experiences- Time and resources management to ensure that work is completed efficiently.- Project management and execution by planning and implementing courses of action with other functions and key stakeholders- Graduate level degree in Mechanical Engineering- Willing to travel domestically and globally- Minimum work experience: minimum eight years in Manufacturing Engineering and five years in machining or precision machiningWe offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
