On jobsites across America and the world, WernerCo brands are most preferred.Resumen:Design, Develop and Validate equipment, machinery and tooling to optimize Werner's manufacturing operations supporting Business Sustainability, NPI or Productivity requirements. Under moderate supervision, designs, manages the build/installation, and startup of a variety of manufacturing tooling processes. Requires using a variety of engineering functions including design and development, prototyping, structural validation, code compliance, manufacturability, and cost objectives. In performing these functions, the engineer will exercise considerable to extensive latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. Works in conjunction with various other disciplines in the development of designs or adaptations requiring specialized experience. Reviews engineering drawings and supporting operations documentation to verify adherence to standards and manufacturing processes. Leads project teams by planning, coordinating, and communicating between the various disciplines.Responsabilidades:Performing research and analysis to identify the manufacturing facility's needs, liaising with vendors and suppliers to design and develop equipment and processes, managing budgets and timelines, assessing existing systems and methods to find areas needing improvement, and implementing solutions against problem areas.Engage and collaborate with teams assigned as part of any NPI, Productivity, Advanced Development or Business Sustainability Project as the SME for production processes.Participates in all Design For Manufacturability (DFM) analysis when developing new products design. Gathers information on all manufacturing capabilities necessary to be included in Product Design and product Requirements.Participates in PFMEA analysis as a tool for Manufacturing Process Design in every new process implemented.Participates in several independent, cross-functional projects to improve manufacturing quality and reduce cost.Implementation of QC controls, such as error proofing, gaging, SPC, process and product inspections.Gathers and documents all inputs required for tool design and fabrication. Validates effectiveness at vendor's floor and before SOP in Werner's facility. Assures compliance to Werner's standards for Safety, Quality and Delivery.Identifies, develops and works with external tool and equipment suppliers. Creates a partnership to assure that Werner's needs can be fulfilled with the best reliance, speed and cost
