RESPONSIBILITIESAdhere to established manufacturing procedures and provide direct support for plant-to-plant product transfers and new product development programs.Support Vertiv manufacturing operations using standard processes, equipment, and manufacturing methods.Identify and justify Advance Manufacturing key processes and equipment.Provide support for manufactured cost analyses of new and existing products.Assist in the development and release of standardized manufacturing documentation such as workmanship standards, work instructions, drawings, and BOMs.Implement best manufacturing practices for existing processes and provide multi-site manufacturing engineering support.Oversee the development and execution of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects for Vertiv manufacturing facilities.Research and lead new manufacturing technologies and practices.Coordinate cross-plant problem-solving teams to improve operating performance and meet business objectives.Assist with business-critical capital projects including facility planning, layout, and cost justification.Develop and implement manufacturing plans for new products.Act as a Technical Advisor for Vertiv manufacturing facilities.Specify manufacturing process capabilities and develop Process FMEAs to improve product manufacturability and quality.QUALIFICATIONSPC working knowledge (MS Office, PDM system, CADD, Minitab)Facility or Production Line Layout development (using AutoCad or equivalent)Strong Mechanical aptitudeKnowledge of assembly and fabrication processesKnowledge of Design tools, methods, and new technologiesWorking knowledge of financial and business applicationsSkill in vendor analysis and negotiationsStrong communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organizationEffective use of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma process improvement tools.Preferred: Material Requirements Planning proficiency (ERP/MRP software)Preferred: Experience supporting manufacturing of system-level Configured products (containing controls and an HMI)Preferred: Experience compiling and submitting Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR's)EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONSBSME/IE/Business Operations Management and 5+ years manufacturing experiencePreferred: MSME/IE/MBA and 3+ years manufacturing experienceLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or certifications#J-18808-Ljbffr
