Be part of something bigger with Chromalloy.Video: What We DoResponsibilities:Lead and direct the functions of the Engineering Department, Technicians and other members of the technical team at Mexicali.Lead development projects through to the production phase, administer the allocation of assets, manpower, evaluating/monitoring costs and expenses.Lead and develop solutions integrating technical expertise, robust problem-solving methodologies and fostering a culture of innovation improving the performance of the site.Oversee, monitor, and improve functional capability to drive performance.CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS:Previous experience supervising a technical team of 10-20 with demonstrated leadership competencies and ability to continually raise the performance of the team.Proven ability to lead and deliver projects while interfacing effectively with customers and other functions within a matrix organizational structure.Proven experience of delivery through (value chain/process) in design, manufacture and repair projects of at least $1M.Proven experience of problem solving both technical and leadership issues to resolution.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/TASKS:Lead NPI, process/yield improvement, and rework reduction projects to full production capability at the site.Engage with other Engineering site Directors within the region; leveraging best practices and assigned initiatives from the COPs.Achieve results, be accountable, and results-driven, holding self and others accountable to deliver the business plan.Provide full truth and transparency, clarifying requirements and defining clear standards.Pay attention to details.Demonstrate ownership and personal responsibility.Product/Process Development:Participate in technical discussions with key customers and related program office ensuring products/processes developed meet the needs of our customers.Use Management Operating System tools to monitor site engineering productivity, quality, and cost-effective work.Partner with manufacturing operations at the site ensuring effective implementation of all projects.Partner with all site functions holding a key role in the decision-making at the site level to ensure compliance across all functions within the site.Lead implementation of new products/processes into the operational environment that effectively drive improvements in business metrics.Coordinate manpower and other project requirements to ensure project completion within time and under budget.Provide accurate reports/presentations to management pertaining to the impact of all projects.Process Optimization:Continually review and improve all engineering processes.Promote Operational Excellence through utilization of a robust problem-solving methodology, CI tools.Maintain a clean, organized work environment by enforcing and supporting 5S principles.Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.Ensure compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO-9000 quality requirements.Ensure management compliance with MOS Principles.Coaching/Mentoring:Provide a leadership role, coaching and mentoring within the site, closing skills/knowledge gaps identified within the engineering team.EDUCATION:Minimum of 10 years' experience in Aerospace or Industrial gas turbine engine engineering (design, manufacture, or repair), achieving progressively increasing responsibility and results.BS Engineering minimum (Mechanical or Aerospace).SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/PROFICIENCIES:Detailed knowledge of gas turbine design, manufacturing, or repair processes, as appropriate for the site product family, is preferred.Proven leadership skills in a complex and high-pressure environment.Proactive mindset to identify project and program risks and constraints, and to develop effective mitigation strategies.Capable of developing and monitoring complex project budgets, resource needs, and timelines.Thoughtful and effective communication skills.Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English and Mexican Spanish.Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.LEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONS:Achieves Results: is accountable and results-driven, holding self and others accountable to deliver the business plan.Business Acumen: Engages across functions and sites to aggressively close high business impact initiatives.People Leadership: Delivers clear and respectful feedback.Organizational Agility: Possesses the intellectual and emotional intelligence to influence groups to build consensus on the solutions to complex issues.Innovation & Creativity: Possesses a growth mindset, demonstrating an openness to new ideas.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Will be determined based on country and other legal regulatory requirements.
