**About The role**
As an Agile Scrum Master your role will be highly involved in the customer facing and facilitating the scrum events, removing blockers, serve as an agile coach for the team and stakeholders to deliver high quality solutions.
Ensure solutions are being delivered using agile practices by supporting everyone in the team and stakeholders to work as a team and follow the best practices.
Ensure the project has healthy finances and work closely with stakeholders to communicate and support them during the process of developing the solution.
**The Agile Scrum Master** **will be accountable for**:
- Work as a facilitator for one or more Agile teams, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate all Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring their effectiveness and adherence to Agile principles.
- Coach and mentor team members on Agile practices, roles, and responsibilities, promoting self-organization and empowerment.
- Remove impediments and blockers that hinder the team's progress, escalating issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and other Scrum Masters to prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities.
- Track and report on team progress, velocity, and key metrics to stakeholders, providing visibility into project status and potential risks.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives and implementing action plans to address areas for enhancement.
- Drive adoption of Agile best practices and frameworks within the organization, promoting a culture of innovation and adaptability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in Agile methodologies, incorporating new techniques and tools to enhance team performance and efficiency.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of Agile processes, tools, and standards, driving consistency and scalability across the organization.
**Requirements**:
**Essential**
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master for IT projects, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies, with experience implementing Scrum in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport among team members and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects on time and within budget, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with distributed teams and offshore resources is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Rally) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment, with a passion for learning and sharing knowledge with others.
**Desirable**
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required; additional Agile certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, SAFe) preferred.
