With products like VELO, VUSE and GLO we are on a mission to decrease the health impact of our industry.British American Tobacco Mexico has an exciting opportunity for an Agronomy Development Manager in Tepic, MX.The role owns the agronomic development at BAT, tackling to provide technologies/innovations that generate increased efficiency, quality, cost reduction, labor reduction, greater operational efficiency, product differentiation, compliance with legislation and sustainability of BAT tobacco production.Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:Carry out the development of technologies globally in areas of agronomy knowledge, through connection with the future scenarios and demands of the organization linked to the pillars of ESG (environment, social and governance), efficiency, productivity and quality, going through the stages prioritization, development, validation and dissemination, to ensure competitive advantage.Ensure the operational tactical plan, through the construction of projects with clear objectives, metrics, achievements, budget and delivery time, including monitoring and delivery, generating reports, recommendations and transfer with excellence to the operations or application area.Develop the technological package for tobacco production, through the consolidation of all recommendations generated in the projects, ensuring the transfer of knowledge and new information with speed and efficiency, to agricultural production teams globally through training, maintaining the forefront and reference in the sector.Ensure alignment with all areas of the center of excellence in agronomic development, and the respective project managers, through meetings and monitoring of work, to ensure that the area will be conducting all experiments with excellence and their deliveries as planned.Lead all investments, budget, and employee security, through proactive monitoring of all opportunities and risks, delivering all planned and agreed results.Lead employees in the agronomic development area, building high-performance teams, through employee development plans, succession plans, training, to ensure an excellent organizational climate and continuity of processes as well as maintenance of technical knowledge.Build an internal network of partners, through engagement with the areas of agricultural production, ESG, EHS, Blend, among others, to connect the entire supply chain from collecting opportunities to the structured delivery of technologies, positively impacting all interfaces.What are we looking for?University Degree in Agronomy, or similar field.Experience in Agriculture, supply Chain or operations (3-4 years of experience).Sophisticated English level (Written and Oral).Strong understanding of sustainability standards, frameworks and reporting requirements.Experience in project management and implementation of sustainability initiatives
