Responsible for procurement functions directly associated with timely planning of New Product Introduction materials, tooling, and services.
Also manages all project-specific Bill of Materials, Budget Forecast & Spend.How You Will Make a DifferenceKey ResponsibilitiesLeader in timely planning and scheduling of material receipt/servicesLead procurement in Arriba BuyingSupport and lead annual COGS (Cost of Goods) for NPI (New Product Introduction)SME (Subject Matter Expert) in creating and submitting First Time BuysReview and disposition PECN's/ECN's and sign (Engineering Change Notices)Leader for inventory right-sizing to ensure levels of NPI materials are maintained to meet business requirementsOrganize the planning and maintenance of work orders within the established guidelines and support finance with the research and resolution of job variancesOrganize & maintain R&D Spend Tracker accuracy and help Finance reconcile monthly accruals to reflect monthly spend on NPIAdvanced utilization of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) toolsAnticipate issues and implement preemptive solutionsOversee business process owner to maintain & create SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)Lead cross-functional projects and teams inside and outside area of responsibilityHire, lead, mentor and assist in the development of buyer planners and other material-facing organizationsPlan, coordinate, and execute the movement of material both internally and externallyIdentify and evaluate trends across materials and productsProvide perspective to the business on areas to enhance effectivenessMitigate scrap risk by coordinating, planning, and performing analysis activities associated with Product Life Cycle ManagementCreate, enhance, and analyze reports to provide coaching for inventory managementLead difficult negotiations, develop strong relationships with suppliers to influence on behalf of the businessCreate business intelligence reports, identify systemic trends, and initiate actions to resolve issues related to non-conforming material, systems, material movements, and processesMentor and guide the team on how to resolve invoices, detect trends, and provide objective solutionsLead and negotiate prices/terms to meet the needs of the businessOversee and analyze quotes, reviews purchase orders and amendments for parts, services, and/or toolsPartner with suppliers (in person or virtually) to develop capabilities or resolve issues in a timely mannerProvide and oversee guidance to the business based on the ERP (Electronic Requirements Planning) data analysisAppropriately communicate/escalate significant issues to internal stakeholdersManage/lead a team of buyer planners and assist in the development of buyer planners and other material-facing organizationsWhat We Can Offer YouOpportunity to join a growing, early-stage organization built within a mature, stable global companyFriendly working environment and a diverse and highly motivated teamIndividual career development plan and possible career growth within a newly created accountTruly international environment and daily interactions with colleagues and stakeholders from all over the worldAttractive benefits & compensation packageFlexible hours and remote work possibilities (min 3 days per week office-based)Skills For SuccessKey Requirements/Minimum RequirementsThe ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in EnglishCoaches/trains others on how to read MRP reports based on their product line;
