REPORTS TO: Global AME Manager
SUMMARY: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions): Leading industrialization projects for assembly lines covering RFQ, Process Design reviews and industrialization phases throughout AME project life cycle. Link with Global Brake Controls AME for any inline changes as well as with feedback about performance onsite. Analyze, develop and implement DFM and DFA with Engineering. Planning and leading supporting activities in the plant (tests, tryouts). Provide technical support and design changes and updates at equipment and product. Ensure effective implementation. Provide effective technical support to operational teams in regard to process performance, production equipment and model changes. Lead plant technical activities relating to problem solving of the process performance. Link with the Global team to assist. Actively participates in design reviews and modifications of new products, sharing learned lessons of the product during the fabrication process. Coordinates engineering changes that affect the design and/or the product performance. Ensure that these are updated effectively. Development of process documentation for all standardization purposes, like Specifications, flow charts. Makes sure 5S is maintained. High commitment and capability to comply to urgent requirements per customers demands Travel as required REQUIRED SKILLS: Additional Skills, Knowledge or Abilities (physical) Physical strength to lift and maneuver heavy parts Physical agility to reach and climb Additional Skills, Knowledge or Abilities (non-physical): Excellent verbal and written communication skills Team oriented Strong interpersonal skills Proven ability to work in a high stress environment Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and effectively prioritize tasks Analytical thinking Familiar with Product Functionality and Testing requirements and Customer requirements Knowledge on DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Capability Knowledge of international standards (SAE, ISO etc) Educational and Experience Requiremnts: BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering Process Design technics and optimization experience. (8+ years desirable).
