Position Summary The Division Vice President of Operations is a highly visible and key leadership role in the business unit and will lead Operations for Reynosa, Mexico. This position will be responsible for managing and driving results for all areas of operations as well as the safe and effective manufacturing of our products. This dynamic and engaging leader will shape the overall vision and direction of the manufacturing operation, quality assurance/quality control, facilities and EHS teams. Additionally, this role will lead and develop the global Operations leadership team, including individual contributors and production workers. This person will have a hands-on approach while remaining strategic and ensuring that a proper organizational structure is in place that utilizes lean manufacturing processes to direct plant operations, consistent with sales forecasts, production schedules and planned growth. The key to success in this position is consistently meeting production and sales (revenue and profit) goals. This position directs all initiatives for the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes and motivates the operations teams to strive for high quality performance. Cross-functional collaboration with the senior leadership team and with key stakeholders is required in order to exceed customer expectations for each and every order. Duties & Responsibilities Develop strategic operational initiatives that drive the achievement of monthly sales, profit, and working capital targets. Develop and implement the manufacturing strategy and readiness to support business objectives. Establish metrics, measurements and tools to improve efficiency, effectiveness and communication; ensuring the requirements of the customer are met, optimizing product value, reducing cost and ensuring on time delivery. Build, lead and develop a highly motivated and world-class team. This includes developing an organization to meet the business unit's goals and manufacturing initiatives, including health, safety, and environmental stewardship; inventory and material, labor/overhead planning, forecasting, budgeting, engineering, capital planning and expenditures, plant-level production planning and control, quality assurance/inspection, facilities planning and maintenance. Ongoing evaluation and process improvement of plant reliability and productivity. This includes identifying, developing, implementing and managing innovative, effective and economical production methods, systems and processes. Consistently monitor operations and analyze costs to maximize opportunities to contain costs and increase quality, efficiency and profit margins. This includes recommending and managing capital improvements to capitalize on business opportunities, increasing plant reliability, lowering production product cost, and rationalizing manufacturing processes. Actively champion Operational Excellence and continuous process improvement efforts across all aspects of operations and ensure that all manufacturing facilities are properly and consistently applying lean tools and methodologies (e.g. VSM, standard work, pull systems, SMED, variance reduction, etc.) to drive quality, delivery and productivity improvements, while minimizing lead-time and WIP. Manage and control expenses in accordance with approved budget. Provide feedback to business leadership and HR on talent needs and organizational capabilities needed to achieve higher levels of production improvement. Ensure development and cross-training of technical staff and support groups. Participate in annual strategy, operations reviews and budget presentations to executive management. Skills & Education Experience A bachelor's degree in business, engineering or other technical related discipline is required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred. Proven record of success as a "hands on" operations management leader with at least 10 years' experience in similar role with a history of progressively responsible career progression. Demonstrated knowledge of and familiarity with Standard Work, Daily Management, 5S/Visual Management, TPM, Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma.
