.Médicos Sin Fronteras en México A.C.SEEKSANAESTHETIST DOCTORto work in INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN MISSIONSTo join our team in International Projects(Minimum availability of 6 months)*** Please upload your CV and motivation letter in English ***THIS JOB PROFILE IS IN ENGLISH SINCE THIS IS THE REQUIRED LANGUAGE FOR THE JOBOBJECTIVE OF THE POSITIONOrganize and carry out anesthetic medical activities, in accordance with MSF policies and protocols and universal asepsis standards, and in close collaboration with the surgeon and other members of the medical staff; increase the knowledge and practical skills of anesthesia personnel through job training and knowledge transfer to ensure quality care for patients.RESPONSIBILITIESIn collaboration with the surgeon, carry out consultations prior to the operation to assess the risks and provide the patient with appropriate information; decide the type of anesthetic to use to ensure optimal conditions before surgery.Prepare necessary medicines, materials, and equipment in advance.Administer and maintain the anesthetic following hygiene and asepsis rules.Supervise patients during the intervention.Ensure the transfer of patients to the recovery room and the complete recovery of consciousness.Advise on postoperative care in the intensive care unit and ward, including administration of fluids, oxygen control, airway care, and physiotherapy.Implement and supervise MSF hygiene rules and procedures in the operating room and recovery.Supervise the pharmacy of the operating room and maintain inventories.Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of operating room equipment.Organize tasks of personnel under responsibility and participate in team management activities.Collaborate with other project departments and participate in emergency activities.Guarantee compliance with administrative procedures and prepare regular reports on results and processes.PROFILEEducation and formationEssential: Doctor's degreeEssential: Diploma in anesthesiologist specialty (must have when applying)ExperienceDesirable: Two years of experience as an anesthetist (residency considered)Desirable: Experience working in MSF or another NGO in developing countries or conflict areas.LanguagesEnglish as primary language (B1 or B2 level minimum).
