Sanchez operations are 7/24.
Your role is pivotal in ensuring timely and accurate SB train reporting, processing of physical PGA inspections, car cleaning tasks, fumigations requested, and handling of SB drags while maintaining a keen focus on safety, service, productivity, and financial metrics.
You will lead and prioritize team efforts, mentor for excellence in execution and customer service, and you are expected to collaborate with Train and Engine staff to resolve immediate operational challenges, and act as the primary point of escalation for any tactical issues on the MX PGA car inspections and release at Sanchez inspection tracks and areas.AccountabilitiesLead the department by providing direction and guidance relative to establishing priorities and defining and managing SZOPS desk when on duty.Foster and promote innovative solutions that drive MX PGA railcar hold time reduction and continuous improvement of processes on drags coming from NLD bridge to be spotted at Sanchez inspection tracks until railcars are released.Liaise with Train and Engine (T&E) Trainmasters and Assistant Trainmasters, managing shift by shift issues to enable effective railcar movement.Act as a point of escalation for all tactical issues on MX PGA hold railcars in Sanchez.Ideal Candidate QualificationsRequiredUniversity degree preferred, Graduate in foreign trade, customs, supply chains or similar; Bachelor of Business Administration, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or 2 years of relevant working experience in external trade positions.Proficiency with Office productivity software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc); Fully Bilingual(English and Spanish).PreferredExperience providing customer service in a similar work environment; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Excellent problem-solving abilities; Relevant railway working experience considered an asset; Ability to multitask and to work under strict timelines and pressure; Ability to manage conflict and conflicting stakeholder interests
