The crypto team is responsible for mobile and Web experiences for buying, selling, and transferring crypto currencies at PayPal, Venmo and Xoom. We are actively seeking to add to our engineering team and join the Crypto Currency Team!**Job Description**:**In your day-to-day role, you will**:- Develop and maintain high performing, reusable Java and Kotlin code and stay current with the newest mobile technologies.- Mentor juniors in the team and help them sharpen their technical finesse.- Reduce tech-debt and have a plan to remove them from the system.- Work with product owners to crystallize the technical needs during grooming and planning meetings also with engineering managers, engineers, and QA to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs.- Define and develop processes, tools and methodologies to achieve excellence in software development, testing and deployment, follow coding standards and guidelines with attention to performance, scalability, and availability.**What do you need to bring**:- 3+ years of Android development experience with solid Java and Kotlin programming skills- Solid understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.- Practical knowledge on Android architecture and solid knowledge of algorithms with good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.- Experience with a version control system (GIT, SVN, CVS, etc).- Highly analytical, innovative, and able to think strategically and to develop comprehensive detailed specifications.**Language requirement**:- Proficient (B2: Upper-Intermediate) in both written and spoken English.- We kindly request that your resume be submitted in English, preferably.**Workplace Model**:- Hybrid (recommended to be in-office three days a week).**In your day-to-day role, you will**:- Improve the overall regression testing coverage across our platforms.- Design and implement new automation frameworks and automated tests.- Debug and fix existing failed automated test cases.- Help determine which tests can and should be automated.- Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards
