**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The AP Analyst LATAM is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of any or all of the following: ledgers and preparation of journal entries; preparation of trial balance or financial statements; cost accounting; account reconciliation.
The individual prepares forecasts and analyzes trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions and other related areas and/or mainframe based systems and software, compiles and prepares reports, graphs and charts of data.
**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE**:
**REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES**:_Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned.
Activities may include, but are not limited to:_
- Analyze and verify internal consistency, completeness and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents; make adjustments, as necessary.
- Assign prescribed accounting distribution codes.
- Post registers or subsidiary ledgers.
- Perform account reconciliation; troubleshoot and analyze discrepancies.
- Assemble, analyze and audit various accounts; verify payment.
- May assist in preparing, adjusting and closing journal entries.
- Analyze financial reports and records, making studies or recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets and expenditures.
- Audit, review and verify accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
- Conduct special studies and develop or recommend accounting methods and procedures.
- Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions.
- Utilize computer to input, retrieve or display accounting information.
- Approve payment of eligible invoices and expense reports to A/P.
- Collect, analyze and report on data.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end closings.
Assist in the preparation of working papers for audits.
- Verify funds are available for expenses.
- Nice to have knowledge of financial rules and regulations for some countries in LATAM.

**Qualifications**
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent education and years of experience required.
- 3+ years finance or accounting with P&L or related experience
- Demonstrated skills in financial planning and analysis
- Demonstrated experience in financial/profitability modeling
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Self starter with ability to work independently
- Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office (highly proficient in Excel), Oracle and function specific software.
- Experience in google sheets
- Has well-developed leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English is essential.
