.Application Engineer – Automated Optical Inspection SystemsIn OMRON México, we are looking for our next Application Engineer – Automated Optical Inspection Systems located in Guadalajara.We are seeking an energetic Application Engineer based at our Proof-of-Concept Center (POCC) in Guadalajara, Mexico. Our engineer will have a focused support role related to automated inspection solutions (SPI, AOI, and AXI).Our Engineer Will Be Responsible For:Maintain extensive knowledge of Omron inspection solutions (as in-house expert)Maintain expert level knowledge of inspection solutions programming softwareAssist customers with equipment decisions, questions & technical discussionsAssist sales team with technology demos & evaluations (technical sales role)Assist sales team with specific sales strategies & marketing activitiesAssist sales team with industry trade-show activitiesPerform equipment installation, service, support & calibration activitiesProvide remote, phone, and on-site customer supportTrain customers and team members on all technology-related topicsAssist with the design and implementation of training materialsContinually cross-train through the Omron inspection solutions product portfolioPerform any other activities assigned by engineering supervisorRepresent the Omron Guiding Principles through personal and business interactions with employees, customers, distributors, and colleaguesRepresent Omron in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible mannerRequirements:Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technically similar discipline4+ years of SPI, AOI, AXI experience (as an equipment user or supplier) or 4+ years of other SMT related equipment experience (examples include screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, test solutions, X-ray equipment, etc.)KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The responsibilities listed below are representative, but not all inclusive of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to satisfactorily and successfully perform the essential duties of this position.
