Other duties may be assigned.- Provides a technical pre and post job analysis for products by compiling a case history to assist sales, product enhancement, and R&D. Contribution to the evolution of product design according to customer needs by; obtaining, gathering, analaysing and reporting information required in product design (new requirements, improvements or modifications) along with contributing to phase in / out product depending on development and obsolescence. Establishes test plans for new products or materials, order and plan tests to deliver run report and analyses the tests. Keeps abreast of competitor product developments and opportunities and other drilling technology by developing established performance benchmarks of VES versus competitor products.- Maintains close and constant interface with operator technical teams, both rig sites and office-based, ensuring a technical focal point to mitigate/solve issues related to actual or perceived product performance.- Assist the customers, sales and technical teams to provide and advise that offers a fit for purpose technical solution and enhancement for the operator's project. Prepare and present technical and design presentations, support sales teams in drill bit requirements for customer proposals and tenders.- Works closely with sales to ensure the customer receives best-in-class service and trouble shoot technical problems and issues and determine solutions in accordance with customer expectations.- Coordinates the NCR (Non-Conformance Report) process in the areas of concern within the company protocol.- Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.**Education and/or Experience**:- Degree in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering, Bachelor / Master of sciences in geology, physics or mechanics from an accredited university and/or 5 year experience in the petroleum industry technically supporting drilling.- Valid driver's license and clean driving record with ability to maintain an acceptable driving record in line with company requirements.- Knowledge of the drilling industry.- Knowledge of general office and sales practices and procedures.- Knowledge of drilling equipment used in assigned territory.- Knowledge of customer operations in assigned territory essential.- Simulation software skills.- Knowledge of drill bit design management
