.**Context**As a Power Management Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical support during the design win and the product development.During the design win phase, you will be closely working with Sales, Marketing and Field Application Engineers (FAE), while also interfacing directly with our automotive customers (Tier1 and OEM). You are the technical expert of the product for these internal and external customers.During the product development phase, you will ensure the validation of the product in conformance with its specification and the customer use cases, you will own the customer facing documentation like Datasheet and Application Notes, you will develop Evaluation Boards with its Graphical User Interface and you will develop tools like Thermal and Simulation models.**Missions**The Application Engineer will be part of an international team, working closely with the Product Definer, Design team, Test and Product Engineering teams, Characterization and ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) labs.The Application Engineer is responsible of the following activities:- Design the Evaluation Boards (EVB) for internal and customer validation- Specify the Graphical User Interface requirements to connect the EVB to a computer- Plan and prepare validation specification (planning, workload)- Validate the new products at lab (regulators, low power modes, fault injection test, )- Develop automated tools to reduce the validation cycle time- Create and maintain customer documentation (Datasheet, Application Notes,)- Create tools to simplify the customer support (SMPS simulation models, thermal models, power dissipation calculator,)- Support technically our Sales, Marketing and FAE teams- Support the integration of our PMICs at the customers (training, schematic/layout reviews,)- Participate to benchmark activities- Answer customer Request For Quotation (RFQ) with existing products in our portfolio- Collaborate with others Product Lines for System Solution support, especially with our Microcontroller and Microcomputer teams.- Present and Train power management and functional safety technologies implemented in our PMICs to FAEs and customers**Profile**- Education / Studies: Master Degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering- At least 2 years of experience in automotive hardware development, ideally in the power management domain- Good knowledge in Analog, Power Electronics, Switch Mode Power Supply (Buck, Boost, Flyback SEPIC ) control loop, EMC testing and noise filtering- Lab measurement basics, standard lab equipment experience- Circuit simulator experience: SPICE, Simplis, Verilog-AMS,- Software coding basics: C language, Python, Labview,..
