Job Description:
Position Overview:
This position may require travel with the product management and sales teams up to 10%.
Main Tasks / Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent internal customer support on product specific issues and new opportunities.
- Provide technical product support to the sales teams for machine quoting.
- Gather market research including field, competitor, and customer information to guide product road mapping processes working with product management.
- Support the development of product specifications to maximise customer value and differentiation in the market while minimizing cost.
- Support New Product Development Gate Reviews and develop business cases to justify new projects.
- Identify opportunities for differentiation of our products, services, and solutions that result in industry leading new products and offerings.
- Make recommendations for innovative solutions to improve our short-term and long-term competitive position.
- Prioritize and execute on projects, considering customer impact versus available resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.
- Requires the ability to travel up to 10% and flexibility to work across different time zones.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 5-years of experience in technical role
- 2+ years of experience with Global Manufacturer in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Services, or similar role
- Strong English Communicator & Demonstrated Cross-Functional Leadership
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Minimum 3 days/week working in-person in a manufacturing setting
- Comfortable demonstrating the complete line of Genie products and working at height.
- Requires the ability to travel up to 10% and the flexibility to work across global time zones.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience developing business cases and understanding of business financials
- Operationally strong with excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Experience in a similar role, having worked with sales, marketing, and engineering.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships, prepare and deliver formal presentations and training.
- Expert understanding of the manufacturing, engineering, and product support process.
- Strong prioritization, time management and project management skills.
- Ability to collect, analyse and use data to support the best business decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-dimensional, multi-cultural global organization.
