You will coordinate and work with a global team of Architects, Designers, and Design Managers across all borders to complete outstanding projects.As a Designer at Gensler´s Borderless Lab, you must actively participate in all phases of the design process. With exceptional design skills and a background in architecture, you will contribute as an integral member of the design team, actively participating in conceptual thought processes and design exploration.What You Will Do- Support the Design Director in the creation and development of overall design concepts.- Formulate design presentation strategies.- Provide creative and process leadership to multiple design teams through all project phases.- Support project design and delivery, working with design and technical directors.- Participate in and lead conceptual design, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and production.- Collaborate with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and vendors to achieve project objectives.- Oversee and deliver documents with design intent and top-notch technical quality.- Select and research building materials and generate material specifications.- Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.- Establish and maintain productive client relationships.- Fulfill other assigned responsibilities.Your Qualifications- Bachelor of Architecture, Interior Architecture, or foreign equivalent- 6+ years of project experience in an architectural practice- Proficiency in REVIT, Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office- 100% bilingual English/Spanish, well written, with excellent verbal communication skills.- Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures- Construction documentation and/or design detail development experience- Strong leadership, communications, and relationship management skills- Ability to handle difficult situations with tact, grace, and emotional intelligence- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Strong organizational skills- Has the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relation- Additional software skills in AutoCAD, 3d Max, Illustrator, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Autodesk Certified are a plusLife at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design
