As an Area Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop your own team of Amazon Associates in a distribution warehouse environment. Your main focus will be motivating, mentoring and coaching your team. As a servant leader, the Area Manager will ensure that their team of Amazon Associates have all the tools needed to succeed for any task during a shift. Engaging with your team during a shift to ensure that the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance performance and engagement are maintained are core functions of the role. As Area Manage, you will be in charge of part of the operation of our work centers during an assigned shift. These operations involve the management of human, technological and physical resources to ensure the correct execution of the daily operation plan aligned with results.
**Within these functions you will be mainly in charge of**:
- Continuous improvement pillar: Propose, plan and execute continuous improvement strategies that seek continuous operational efficiency.
- Industrial Safety Pillar: During the shift, you are the main person in charge of safeguarding the well-being of the personnel under your charge, being directly or indirectly hired by the company.

- Operational Pillar: Review the operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for the operation.
Key job responsibilities
You will be part of the Amazon Operations Team, responsible of the day-to-day management of the site, overseeing the operation that focuses on the delivery of Amazon orders direct to customers.
- Leading a direct/indirect team to ensure that you have a safe work place, properly trained people, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs.
- Support and assign job duties to process assistants.
- Due to the nature of Amazon's business, being able to adapt to sudden changes and growth according to operational necessities.
- Communicate policies to Associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance, consistency, and taking corrective action when needed
- Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs
- Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention
- Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
- Owns accountability and continuous improvement of Quality & Safety KPIs
