**Company Overview**:
This position will support our interactive learning products by creating expertly crafted art and animation that aids in producing highly engaging product experiences that fit into our broader educational ecosystem. As an Artist/Animator, you will collaborate closely with creative/design leads and product leadership including producers, product owners, and other art, animation, and tech-artists. You will also work closely with curriculum, research, data analytics, engineering, and production teams to ensure adherence to best animation/design practices to help provide a clear, creative recommendation for the product's vision.
This position requires an attention to detail and the ability to balance engagement and learning based on research findings and live data with the goal of creating lasting learning outcomes for school-age children and the adults who support them.
**Responsibilities**:
- Create appealing gameplay and cinematic art/animations for characters, props, and environments that provide meaningful context to teachers, caregivers, parents, and kids utilizing an adaptive recommendation engine.
- Work to create and maintain an efficient art/animation pipeline, possibly with our proprietary tools to aid in implementation with the team.
- Adhere to a style guide and create art/animation assets for the appropriate age group and audience.
- Create 2D art/animation with use of photoshop, illustrator, rive and the like.
- Work closely with other team disciplines to deliver content that meets requirements established by team leaders and executives, and iterate our product experience to engage, surprise, and delight.
- Produce and deliver best-in-class, implementation-ready art/animation assets well under pressure, work in short timeframes, manage time and schedules efficiently while maintaining a high level of quality.
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Bilingual English/Business Spanish (written and verbal) in a business setting
- Possess 5+ years in both art/animation fundamentals and creative/technical solutions working on interactive online software products in a production environment.
- History of strong collaborative skills with the ability to receive and give constructive feedback as well as strong interpersonal communication skills to work independently.
- Strong experience in 2D art/animation integration workflow
- Strong traditional drawing and rendering abilities with advanced knowledge of color theory and visual development, including storyboarding.
- Thorough understanding of how to set up art assets, rigs and animation for the engines with desire to continually sharpen artistic abilities and broaden skillset to advanced technical art.
- Experience extending and working within a design system.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience working in a scrum/kanban/agile environment.
- Knowledge of children's media, especially in children's educational apps and learning games.
- Strong collaboration with a product team and engineering team.
- Capability of iterating divergently in low fidelity and refining solutions at high fidelity.
- Knowledge of Rive animation and flutter frameworks.
- Basic understanding of 3D art/animation integration workflow.
