The Assistant Controller will complete financial analysis, budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes: complete monthly financial reporting to Swiss parent company, ensure compliance with monthly tax reporting to Mexican government (liaison to outside tax accountants), oversee accounts receivable and collection of past due accounts, assist with treasury, payroll and human resources functions.
Will assist the controller perform administrative tasks and relieve the current workload: process all documents relating to the machine rentals and consignments, manage the site machine logistics and inventory reconciliations, oversee accurate and timely order processing and inventory import documentation.
Perform additional tasks as requested by the Managing Director - Mexico.
Bachelors' Degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university; and 5 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA license and/or Masters' degree preferred. Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis. Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting. Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes. Exemplary history of financial project management. Proficiency in English.
Prior operational financial management and controlling functions experience required. Experience in internal controls, risk management, audit processes, legal and tax matters, process alignment, and improvement are highly valued.
Knowledge and proficient experience with Microsoft Office Systems, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP, Great Plains, or similar software programs, as well as logistics and accounting software.
Proficiency in English is required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as processes, procedures, tax code, and specific service reports and documents. Effectively communicate ideas, both written and verbally, to customers, management or employees of the organization.
