This expansive property includes 96 beautifully appointed guestrooms and 61 Residences, centrally located in the "tourist corridor" between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo atop the breathtaking Baja California Sur with amazing views of the sea where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. Amenities will include three restaurants, three resort pools, an open-air fitness center, Spa & Spa Garden, and a Clubhouse event facility.
Be You This role reports to the Director of People and Culture and will be responsible for assisting in leading the People and Culture strategy and execution and overseeing the day to day running of the People and Culture function; including benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and retention of staff, communication to staff, career development of staff and legal matters related to hotel employees.
You will have a essential role as Four Seasons ambassador creating and encouraging a culture of golden rule, where we treat others as we want to be treated, supporting the hotel as a Business Partner, fostering relationships with others as a coach, supporting and driving Corporate People and Culture initiatives, employee counseling, managing the financials of the budget, conducting regular audits of People and Culture records, organizing and supervising all employee experience programs, actively supporting recruitment, selection, onboarding requirements and evaluating the effectiveness of People and Culture programs and initiatives.
Requirements A passion for people, talent management and learning, and will be a Business Partner; strategic, strong business acumen, a catalyst for change and an employee champion.Minimum of 3 years' experience in a People and Culture leadership capacity, preferably within the hospitality industry.Understanding of hotel operations is an asset.Formal education or certification in Human Resources Management an asset.Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).Strong interpersonal, communications and presentation skills, both written and oral.Self-confident and able to communicate easily with all levels of an organization from line employees to Senior leaders.Ability to motivate and lead a team of professionals.Excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.Candidate must be fluent in English.Service Passion for Luxury Hospitality.Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Master Your Craft The Assistant Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, initiatives, activities, and staff of the People & Culture department, ensuring legal and labor compliance and implementation of the mission and talent strategy.Lead and oversee the day-to-day operation of the People & Culture Department and collaborate with senior leadership on the implementation of the People and Culture strategy.Promote positive employee relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect and fun.Assist Departmental Leaders and Senior Managers with the development of specific action plans to address issues and concerns identified in employees' feedback.Oversee the administration of People and Culture programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leaves; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.You are constantly challenging the status quo and thinking about how we can improve the way we do things to create an even better guest and employee experience.Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.Assist with and support employee events.Ensure compliance with Four Seasons policy and local legislation in all aspects of the People and Culture function.What To Expect Be part of a caring team with a family spirit.Have opportunities to build a successful career with global potential.Work in a diverse and challenging environment and engage with the leadership team.Be recognized for your accomplishments.About Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts opened its first hotel in 1961 and its story is a tale of continual innovation, remarkable expansion and a single-minded dedication to the highest of standards.
