This expansive property includes 96 beautifully appointed guestrooms and 61 Residences, centrally located in the "tourist corridor" between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo with amazing views of the sea where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean.Be YouThis role reports to the Director of People and Culture and will be responsible for assisting in leading the People and Culture strategy and execution and overseeing the day-to-day running of the People and Culture function; including benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and retention of staff, communication to staff, career development of staff and legal matters related to hotel employees.You will have an essential role as Four Seasons ambassador creating and encouraging a culture of golden rule, where we treat others as we want to be treated, supporting the hotel as a Business Partner, fostering relationships with others as a coach, supporting and driving Corporate People and Culture initiatives, employee counseling, managing the financials of the budget, conducting regular audits of People and Culture records, organizing and supervising all employee experience programs, actively supporting recruitment, selection, onboarding requirements and evaluating the effectiveness of People and Culture programs and initiatives.Requirements:Minimum of 3 years' experience in a People and Culture leadership capacity, preferably within the hospitality industryUnderstanding of hotel operations is an assetFormal education or certification in Human Resources Management an assetStrong computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)Strong interpersonal, communications and presentation skills, both written and oralSelf-confident and able to communicate easily with all levels of an organization from line employees to Senior leadersAbility to motivate and lead a team of professionalsExcellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal skillsCandidate must be fluent in EnglishService Passion for Luxury HospitalityRequires attention to detail and problem-solving skillsMaster Your Craft:The Assistant Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, initiatives, activities, and staff of the People & Culture department, ensuring legal and labor compliance and implementation of the mission and talent strategyLead and oversee the day-to-day operation of the People & Culture Department and collaborate with senior leadership on the implementation of the People and Culture strategyPromote positive employee relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect, and funAssist Departmental Leaders and Senior Managers with the development of specific action plans to address issues and concerns identified in employees' feedbackOversee the administration of People and Culture programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leaves; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and developmentMonitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain complianceHandle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policyAssist with and support employee eventsEnsure compliance with Four Seasons policy and local legislation in all aspects of the People and Culture functionWhat to Expect:Be part of a caring team with a family spiritHave opportunities to build a successful career with global potentialWork in a diverse and challenging environment and engage with the leadership teamBe recognized for your accomplishmentsAbout Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts:Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts opened its first hotel in 1961 and its story is a tale of continual innovation, remarkable expansion, and a single-minded dedication to the highest of standards.Service Culture:Currently operating 126 hotels and resorts, and 45 residential properties in major city centers and resort destinations in 47 countries, and with more than 50 projects under planning or development, Four Seasons consistently ranks among the world's best hotels and most prestigious brands in reader polls, traveler reviews, and industry awards.What it is Like to Work for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts:At Four Seasons, we guide all of our actions by the Golden Rule: "Treat others the way you would like to be treated."
