Assistant Engineer

**JOB PURPOSE****DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**- Under close supervision, assists Engineers in performing a variety of routine tasks related to environmental projects including investigation of air, water, and solid/hazardous waste management issues, health, and safety compliance, and assists in permitting.- Under close supervision, assists Engineers in performing routine or non-routine investigations, calculations, and simple engineering assignments (original work based on manuals/engineering principles or based on designs of others).- May assist in performing routine field work including sample collection and field measurements.- Receives specific and detailed instruction as to required tasks and results expected.
