Assistant Engineer

**JOB PURPOSE**

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Under close supervision, assists Engineers in performing a variety of routine tasks related to environmental projects including investigation of air, water, and solid/hazardous waste management issues, health, and safety compliance, and assists in permitting.
- Under close supervision, assists Engineers in performing routine or non-routine investigations, calculations, and simple engineering assignments (original work based on manuals/engineering principles or based on designs of others).
- May assist in performing routine field work including sample collection and field measurements.
- Receives specific and detailed instruction as to required tasks and results expected.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum of two (2) years of higher-level education beyond high school.
- Three (3) years of experience.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
