The APM takes direction but is comfortable acting independently to ensure project success. Having an expert understanding of the scope and the project status, the APM ensures the details are followed up on. The APM enables the PM and the Field through contributions and ownership of their roles and responsibilities. As the APM evolves their understanding of the project process and demonstrates excellence, the APM evolves to having near autonomous execution of projects with PM oversight and guidance
