Job Summary and Principal Duties and Responsibilities Assist in formula development, stability evaluation, evaluation of formula performance and communication of results to the team and other functions.
Conduct experimental tasks such as making lab batches, supporting batch scale-up, conducting laboratory testing on products, analyzing data and following aging studies.
Provide an applied and theoretical approach to problem solving on a day-to-day basis.
Seek solutions to technical problems; apply scientific knowledge to experimental methods, test conditions, and controls with supervision from the manager.
Support interaction with business partners such as Safety, Regulatory, Quality, Environmental Affairs, Occupational Health and Safety (EOHS), Technology Insights, Legal, Supply Chain.
Keep detailed written records of experimental work, observations and summarize results.
Maintain accurate documentation such as notebooks, reports, and necessary Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
Ensure assigned activities are conducted and documented according to Quality requirements and systems.
Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Environmental Affairs, and Occupational Health and Safety (EOHS) activities.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Material Science, Biotechnology 1-2 Years of Functional Experience Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Google Suite Effective oral and written communication skills in English 1-2 Years of Consumer Goods Industry Experience (it is a plus) Academic publications (it is a plus) Extra Requirements: Demonstrated working and technical knowledge in physico-chemical and/or life sciences; use of sound technical and scientific methodology in product development and performance documentation.
