Provides desk side support for end users.Essential Functions:- Sets up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.- Installs and performs minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.- Conducts computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.- Determines computer software or hardware needed to set up or alter system.**Job Qualification**:- Education and Experience:High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.Technical positions may require a certificate.Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years).Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on a desktop platform- Strong customer service communication skills- Must be able to multi task and pay close attention to detail.Working Environment:PPD values the health and wellbeing of our employees.
