**Associate Director, M6, Supplier Performance & Development (Hybrid in Mexicali)**
- Plans, organizes, directs and reports all activities and matters relating to supplier performance. Evaluates supplier performance, management, capacity and production readiness.
- Assesses supplier qualifications including training and certifications.
- Elaborates supplier development plans and works in collaboration with the supplier to ensure best performance is achieved.
- Guides the development and implementation of new processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing systems.
- Evaluates critical business wide metrics and leads cross-functional work teams to significantly increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives in a timely manner.
- Interfaces with leadership within Supply Chain Management, Engineering, and Operations across organization and external customers to communicate and improve supplier development strategy and performance.
- Owns the execution of long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) and operational direction, typically for an entire region, country, product or business of considerable size and scope.

**Level Description**
- Owns the establishment and execution of short
- to medium-term operational plans (e.g., less than 1 year to 1-2 years) for the organization. Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis.
- Owns the execution of long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) and operational direction, typically for an entire region, country, product or business of considerable size and scope.
- Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.

**Problem Solving & Complexity**

Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, where information is typically difficult to obtain. Conducts extensive investigation to understand the root cause of problems. Problems are typically difficult and often complex. Problems typically involve consideration of multiple sites, geographies, products or customers. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues. Responsible for improving upon entire processes or systems, leveraging past experiences and/or in-depth understanding of best practices in the marketplace that may improve the competitive position of the organization.

**Communication & Influence**
- Communicates with parties within and outside of own organization, and typically has responsibilities for communicating with parties external to the organization, which may include customers or vendors.
- Works to influence others to accept views/practices and agrees/ accepts new concepts, practices, and approaches. Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization.
- May conduct briefings with senior leaders within the job function.

**Knowledge & Experience**
- A deep management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across multiple related departments is **_required_**:

- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 year's experience is **_required_**:

- Bilingual, English & Spanish _is _**_required_**:

- Manufacturing experience in machining, mechanical fabrication, casting and general metallurgy. **_significantly preferred_**:

- Expert knowledge in APQP with practical experience implementing APQP in a supply base is highly favored is **_significantly preferred_**:

- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations is **_preferred_**
