**About the Job**
Associate Attorney is tasked with developing corporate guidelines for labor and employment issues and providing labor-related legal advice to business teams.
- Develop corporate guidelines for labor matters to ensure full compliance with state and federal agencies.
- Provide legal advice to business teams in resolving labor and employment issues, including matters relating to hire and fire, job performance, overtime pay, and fringe benefits.
- Prepare legal opinions regarding business dealings and press statements.
- Research and analyze case law and prepare memoranda for review by supervising attorney.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Legal Department.
- Other duties as may be required from time to time.
**Qualifications**
- Must be legally qualified law degree and able to practice law in Mexico (Licenciado en Derecho) or J.D.
from the U.S.)
- 2+ years of legal experience in labor and employment law and corporate governance.
- 2+ years of experience of working at a law firm or corporate setting.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish - written and spoken (native proficiency not required in both languages).
- Willingness to travel and flexibility to work out of various locations.
(Especially the United States and Mexico)
- Ability to communicate effectively with business managers, analyze issues, and draft legal opinions for senior attorney review.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision under a fast-paced environment and to take on assignments on short notice.
- Strong communication skills and ability to establish relationships within the legal department and across all business functions worldwide
