.A Day in Your Life at MKS:As an Associate Buyer at MKS, you will partner with internal customers (ex. Program Manager, Engineering, Corporate, NPI team, etc.) to create requisitions according to business needs. In this role, you will report to the Procurement Supervisor.You Will Make an Impact By:Responsible for obtaining materials, components and equipment.Gathering quotations, examining bids, and making awards.Determining material requirements from engineering and production schedules, and maintaining inventory at planned levels.Planning, scheduling and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle.Evaluating vendor reliability and developing new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate.Skills You Bring:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and good written and oral communication skills.Requires at least 1 year of related experience.CPIM and/or APICS certification preferred.Must be able to exchange accurate information.The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).Operates in a professional office and/or manufacturing environment.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.Noise level in the work environment is usually average.Globally, our policy is to recruit individuals from wide and diverse backgrounds.
