Description The Associate Consultant position reports on a line-management basis to the Consulting Manager with a dotted line to Mexico Country Manager/Research Manager and has day-to-day interaction with the research team on specific projects. The Associate Consultant's primary function is to successfully manage and execute custom projects and as a complementary function, to support and conduct industry research for our core Passport verticals of FMCGs.
Key responsibilities: Primary and Secondary Research: Conduct thorough, detailed desk research on a regular basis across multiple ad-hoc and syndicated studies to gain a thorough understanding of project objectives with the goal of better informing the client and the research team.
· Desk Research · Conduct interviews with trade associations, leading companies and internal Euromonitor associates to gain insights into specific custom research objectives.
· Utilize in-house resources and external published information to more clearly understands the markets and companies under review.
· Share new resources with colleagues and seek out new sources of information.
Research Management: Oversee and be responsible for on-going research work for Latin American-based research projects, including:
· Client Communication: · Client communication and engagement from project inception through project completion, ensuring that all core objectives are met.
· Presenting findings via videocalls and/or in-person to clients to ensure that all client objectives have been met.
· Understanding, maintaining, and developing the relationship between Euromonitor and any research client.
· Project Set-up: · The planning of projects including development of briefs, templates and other
supporting materials necessary for meeting all project objectives.
· Conducting preliminary research into new project areas in order to develop more useful project documents.
· Project Execution: · The day-to-day line management of any contract analysts (as relevant) including regular communication via videocalls and email, establishing schedules and administering final payments.
· Work closely with the Research Operations Team to ensure that projects are adequately resourced and that the pool and quality of contract analysts matches project volume and complexity.
· Continued upkeep of all folders and materials associated with current projects to ensure that all information is easily accessible to other relevant Euromonitor personnel.
· A full review of all generated materials via querying, validation and final interpretation of data and analysis to fully meet client objectives.
· Liaising with colleagues in other regional offices to ensure that all project team members have a clear understanding of goals, objectives, and timelines.
· Delivering timely, thorough analysis that meets client objectives.
Requirements · 3 to 5 years of working experience
· Fluency in English and Spanish; proficiency in a third language is a plus
· Excellent editorial skills
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Proficient computer literacy
· Intermediate or Advanced proficiency in Excel is a must
· High level of numeracy
· Strong organizational abilities
· Knowledge of consumer markets trends and dynamics
· Proven track record in strategic industry analysis and insights
· Experience with client interactions and meeting project deadlines
· Bachelor's Degree Required
