**About the role**
The Business Process Management and Optimisation team are looking for someone to facilitate/lead/simplify a defined set of cross functional processes both within the IT organisation and broader AstraZeneca.
This role requires a highly organised & motivated individual who can operate across multiple areas within IT and the broader enterprise, working with senior collaborators and audiences across IT, Global HR, Finance, Procurement, sustainability etc to facilitate and align processes that are used by the IT organisation. The role requires excellent project leadership and a lean mindset to ensure optimal processes are implemented with the existing procedural framework that can be implemented to meet the needs of the business.
The role will be an important member of the Business Process Management Team, and accountable for the design, development, maintenance and optimisation of key cross functional processes and procedural documents, that meet customer needs and enable optimal delivery of IT.
The role is accountable for the identification, assessment and delivery of improvements within their assigned process area and when assigned support cross function improvements within other areas. As well, the role will be the champion for assigned elements of the business process framework and provide training and support when required.
As a strong advocate for lean, the role holder will utilise tools and techniques to achieve continuous improvement, identify problems and serve as a change agent to drive and implement changes based on regulatory and Business Requirements.

**Typical Accountabilities**
- Deep understanding of Shared Service Business Operating Model and business risk analysis. Should have experience in the transition of the business process to across location under shared services
- Able to implement effective operational processes and find opportunities for continuous performance improvement.
- Able to work with cross-functional & multiple collaborators with multiple priorities to negotiate change
- Able to design, faciltiate and consult to ensure the cross functional processes are upto the right standards within an assigned process area.Document the process to appropriate level of detail and to relevant governance requirements
- Able to develop, build and implement/support as a specialist expert, new strategies and goals for improvement projects within a cross-functional team. As well, communicates these as appropriate (eg. Mid term planning process, IT Planning process, IT Strategy & Change)
- Project manage business management/ improvement projects to comply with business needs in line with project achievements and defined outcomes
- Engage and lead a process network or appropriate forums to encourage best practises
- Drive adherence to the process and define critical metrics; monitor and improve performance; Manage continuous improvement and change
- Facilitate sharing of good practice and learning within function and cross functionally
- Monitor internal and external signals and trends. Stay aware of external environment and provide insights in to future possibilities.
- Identify issues and risks, advance as required through appropriate governance forums
- Manage links with related processes and manage relationships with key collaborators.
**Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience**

- Bachelor's of Science in an appropriate field, MBA preferred
- 10-12 years in management consulting with a focus on process optimisation specific to large organisations with industry related experience in Lean/Six Sigma projects and other simplification programs
