Associate Education Specialist, Teacher Programs The opportunity: The Education Department of the J. Paul Getty Museum seeks an Associate Education Specialist for K12 Teacher Programs to support Getty Education's broad slate of K12 teacher programs and projects. As a member of the Education Department, the Associate Education Specialist will have broad knowledge of museum education best practices, teaching, pedagogy, and K12 content development, and commitment to diversity, equity, access, and inclusion principles for audience engagement. Under moderate direction, the Associate Education Specialist will implement and manage K12 teacher programs and projects to foster engaging and creative experiences with art, such as in-person and virtual professional development programs and events; digital learning resources for teachers and students; and teacher wellness programming. The successful candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert on K12 teacher programming, arts integration, project-based learning, teacher professional development, and 21st-century skill building. They will also be knowledgeable about strategies that maximize inclusiveness of programming and outreach to engage diverse K12 audiences including Title I schools, and in both in-person and remote classroom settings.
Qualifications: 3-5 years of project/process management and subject area experience
