**What you will do**
- Will lead the supplier selection process and provide overall coordination, facilitation and enablement of programs that will drive best practice NPD, Product Transfers and will leverage Stryker's position in direct material categories.
- Will lead and shape the sourcing strategy for recently launched products to enhance supply reliability and improve gross profit.
- Support numerous NPD & Product Transfers projects simultaneously across multiple businesses, global procurement categories, and geographies
- Lead and support negotiations with suppliers regarding cost, payment terms, service, lead time, quality, and escalations
- Be accountable for PPV Purchase price variance of assigned portfolio; including standard cost roll, spend, and price forecasting
- Lead and support local and department initiatives to develop and implement tools and systems to enhance PPV forecasting, and decision making and performance monitoring
- Lead and support RFQ's of existing supplier base, including cost analysis, selection process, and award SRM management.
- Communicate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization, which might include Executive Leadership
- Negotiates, establishes, monitors and enforces supplier contracts and agreements
- Forecast spend and savings for responsible portfolio of suppliers and assure cost standards are established for annual operating budget
- Supplier and item setup and maintenance of parameters in related enterprise software
- Participate & Support to NPD/ R&D, Product Transfers & PMO groups in the selection, evaluation and qualification of suppliers of materials and services including Electrical Components, Plastics, Metals, Chemicals, Packaging, External Manufacturing, and selected services for all assigned projects.
- Partner with procurement category teams and senior leaders in R&D, Product Transfers & PMO to identify unmet needs to drive the execution of sourcing strategies and innovative supplier solutions aligned to the franchise technology roadmap.
**What you need**
- Bachelor's degree in supply management, business, finance, engineering or related field.
- 6+ years of work experience in supply management, strategic sourcing, supplier development or related to new product development, production planning, material planning, material buying.
- Experience in a Medical Devices company or any other regulated industry.
- Intermediate level on PowerBi, JDE and SAP preferred.
- Microsoft Office knowledge required.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive projects to successful completion.
- Adaptable to meet rapidly changing priorities.
- Strong communication, influencing, negotiating, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage at the leadership level with both Suppliers and within Stryker.
- Fluent in both English & Spanish.
