The Role

We're looking for an Associate Manager with a background related to Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir simulation engineering or Computer Science to join our growing team.
This role will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes and activities related to the development and deployment of Aspen Mette and Aspen Tempest

This is an opportunity to play an important role in cutting-edge transformation by validating existing and the next generation products from Aspen Technology.
Your Impact
- Lead a team of quality assurance engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the effective execution of QA activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, product management, and project management, to ensure alignment on quality objectives and priorities.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential quality issues or bottlenecks, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks and improve overall product quality.
- Design and execute test plans and test cases to validate software functionality, ensure test coverage and product quality.
- Develop, maintain, and execute API, UI, Integration, and performance test.
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of software defects, working closely with development teams to identify and implement corrective actions.
What You'll Need
- BS/MS in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir engineering or Computer Science or related majors.
- 3-5 years of experience as petroleum production engineer or reservoir engineer is desirable.
- At least 1-year leading small teams.
- Skills in scripting or coding (e.g.
Python, C++, and Go) are desirable.
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes in a quality environment is desirable.
- Experience in the usage of JIRA/ADO, git, Gerrit, etc.

- Good knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
- Fluent English is required.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills.
