Job Responsibilities:As an Associate Product Engineer (APE) for the B2C Team, you will play an essential role in supporting our customers by providing recommendations, processing purchase orders (POs), and answering basic product-related questions. You will work closely with the rest of the team, participate in training sessions to build a strong foundation of technical knowledge while assisting with administrative tasks.While maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times, you will respond promptly, and within the company's Service Level Agreement (SLA). While providing support, you will utilize up-selling and cross-selling to promote Progressive Automations products.Your primary responsibilities revolve around responding to customer inquiries by providing general product information available on our website, or in product documentation. You will recommend appropriate electric linear actuators and/or control systems based on customer requirements. Your tasks include, but are not limited to, processing purchase orders (POs), supporting the team with administrative tasks and directing customer to appropriate resources for more complex technical questions.The APE may collaborate closely with colleagues as necessary, demonstrating the ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative team environment. Documenting and communicating website, datasheet and product issues to the B2C Manager will show strong attention to detail.To be successful in this role, you'll need to participate in training sessions to enhance your understanding of Progressive Automations products, and stay committed to ongoing learning and professional development while seeking opportunities to expand your technical knowledge, and industry insights. Required Skills and Experience:Diploma in Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.Previous experience in a technical product engineering roles, customer support, client services, sales or a related field.Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components.Experience with linear motion, actuators, control systems or DC motors is considered an asset.Ability to stay calm and de-escalate when customers are stressed or upset.Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
