**Audit and Risk IT lead**
**Role Purpose. **The Audit and Risk IT lead position will participate in audit, risk and control activities, will produce reviews within the technology scope to identify deficiencies and/or best practices that will help continuous improvement in the IT operation, coordination of complex audits (internal, external and/or regulatory) to ensure their compliance effectively and efficiently, supporting the management of executive reports and presentation to the senior level. This role is oriented towards IT as an internal client in collaboration with other areas of HSBC and external audit groups. Employees who perform this administrative leadership role are expected to have knowledge of technology, audit execution, risk culture, strategic planning, assertive communication, preferred experience in the banking field, ease of teamwork with fluent English to interact with global HSBC areas.
**Main activities**:
- Managing and coordinating large and complex audits (internal, external and/or regulatory) within the technology areas to guarantee their compliance in a timely manner, aligned with HSBC policies.
- Active participation in annual audits to guide and advise IT teams and guarantee the compliance.
- Identification of internal deficiencies and/or improvements within IT processes based on knowledge of the controls of each IT process, HSBC global standards and/or regulatory standards.
- Assist with the promotion of accountable risk and control decision-making based on quality data.
- Assist with efforts to continuously improve the control environment and monitoring of risk, including behaviors. Monitoring and documenting, Risks, Issues and Actions.
- Actively challenge poor, inefficient, or excessive controls, related tasks, and behaviors.
- Stay up to date on compliance regulations in terms of financial and non-financial risks.
- Effective identification of issues and potential impacts. Active support for audits and reviews for Information Security Risks
- Report escalations, issues, risks, or impacts in a timely manner to take actions with areas involved.
- Assist with Influencing and shaping the development of regulatory frameworks in collaboration with internal parties
- Establishing effective project controls and procedures and quality assurance processes.
- Promote desired behaviors and a positive risk culture across the remit area.
- Managing the tracking, documenting progress and status reporting for senior management and forums of their remit.
- Contribute to senior management decision making by use of management information, performance information, analytics, forums, and stakeholder feedback.
- Leading the team to meet performance targets aligned to objectives.
- Define and support Dashboards and Scorecards.
- Adhere to and actively support established policies and procedures in own team.
High interaction with other local or global HSBC areas (Business, Compliance, Audit, etc.), several Technology roles, and external auditors.
Requirements
**Requirements**:
- Domain in Audits Management and Risk Management in Technology areas (desirable 2 years of experience)
- General technology knowledge such as: Cyber Security, Infrastructure IT, Systems Development Processes and /or Project methodology.
- Desirable experience in finance institution.
- Proven record of being able to work and deliver under pressure according to tight deadlines.
- Fluent English to interact with other HSBC entities (intermediate - advanced)
- Transformational leadership (drives improvement and/or transformation)
- Analytical, negotiation and coaching skills to implement a risk culture and issues understanding, identification, and management within Technology areas.
- Decision-making capability.
- Solid, affective, and effective communication (verbal and written), ability to influence to all levels and present in front of large audience or senior level
